By increasing the normal loads (and thereby the shear strength) on potential sliding surfaces through the nails, which are simply made of steel tendon, the soil nailing technique is used to reinforce the existing ground. Process

Hard rock blasting as per NIRM method

The material which we were using before: compressor drilling holes for 3" feet has to be drilled 1. electronic delay detornator standard 8/millisecond (EDD) with series connected, 1" no is to used for each hole.2.slurry/emulsion gel catridge 125gm, 2no of sticks is used for each holes,( this 2" explosived are IDEAL brand manufactured) 3. Normal stemming materials, 4. Rubber mats for final covering on top of the blast area with the help of excavator. other: electrical tape, wooden stemming rod, blasting cables, DGMS approved meter and exploder 2no. of skilled labour, govt approved blasting license holder, machinery etc., (0 to 12 mtr), Jack Hammer is attached to one of Excavator for extraction of Hard Rock & Same is carted using Rock Dumpers.

Diamond Rope Cutting method

  • HORIZONTAL DRILLING : Using diesel driven compressor of sufficient capacity horizontal hole of dia 4 inch is drilled on one face of the rock. Similarly another hole is drilled on the other face of the rock until both the holes meet and a loop is formed so that the rope can be inserted this process is performed thus resulting in the bottom cut of the rock
  • VERTICAL DRILLING : Using jack hammer, a vertical hole is drilled from the top so the vertical hole meets the junction of the two horizontal holes drilled. This drilled hole enables us to form a loop with the rope wire which can be utilized for performing side cutting of the rock or in simple terms a vertical cut of the rock
  • ROPE LOOPING : After the drilling of the horizontal holes and the vertical holes, the diamond rope is inserted in to the horizontal hole on one side which forms a loop along with the horizontal holes on the other side and then connected to the wheel of the cutting machine similar exercise is performed for the vertical hole
  • ROPE SAW CUTTING : The rope saw cutting machine is an electric driven cutting machine for which a suitable diesel driven mobile generator of capacity 125 kva or above is required once a loop is formed through the horizontal drilled holes, the cutting machine is started and the cutting process result in the bottom cut of the rock to be excavated similarly a loop is formed with one side of the horizontal hole to the vertical hole resulting in the side cut to of the rock to be excavated. This process is repeated for the side cut to happen to the other face of the rock. Thus by performing the above actions the rock is separated from the bed rock
  • ROCK BREAKING : Using excavators with rock breaker attachment, the cut rock is broken in to smaller pieces so that they can be easily mucked and loaded into dumpers for further disposal.

Chemical Splitting method

Vertical drilling to required level is carried out with aid of compressor tractors, Holes are drilled at spacing of 300mm c/c using drilling rods in parallel lines of Rock Strata, later SPLIT STONE/BETONAMITE chemical is mixed with water in 1: 3 ratio and thick paste of this mix is filled into each hole and covered thoroughly to stop evaporation. Once this process is completed post 12 hours crack shall be generated upon which Jack Hammer is Engaged to further carry out Breaking of Rock & carting away of same.
